Final Five

That was a couple of very interesting episodes. I would like to point out that you are only seeing the entertainment side of the show and almost everyone can cook and can cook well. Yes even Joseph with the crazy attitude was, I’m sure still is, a good cook.

It’s a funny thing reading the message boards, and wow people are crazy!! The internet can be used wisely as well as being a sounding board for the very intellectually challenged person. I hope you the viewer understand this is a show after all!!

Enough of that, on with the show!!  I get to see the show just as everyone else see it and find myself laughing at the episodes. I only know what happens on the team I am cooking with and view the other team just like you. So when I saw Sabrina not letting the other girls in on the Venison I just had to laugh. They were after all pushing her aside so I cannot blame her for having some spite. But in the end Sabrina was cast aside. Not even her quirky personality could save her as Chef Ramsay eliminated her.

Man I was not happy to see Van go!! However Chef Ramsay had his radar set on lock and he was more than willing to unload on Van. You could sense the relentless fire being put on Van and he finally just lost it. Van is a very talented chef with a very bright future; I think he will do just fine.

I know what I am seeing on the show. I would like to know what are your thoughts, what is it that you see. I have caught some things that are suspect on the show have you!!

Until next week!

Happy Cooking Chef Kevin

You can tell who will win from this point. Tennille since last season we had a male winner and its been m-f-m-f-m winner the last 5 years and she is the only competent female cook too. When I saw what Joseph early in the season I knew it was staged. Suzanne should have left and I was surprised when he picked Van. He deserved another chance. You could tell Van has more passion than Suzanne does too.

I was surprised to see Van go to be honest. I am sure the guy can cook fish, so it seemed a little surprising that he screwed up fish like that. He did seem seriously off his game and annoyed. :)

Although I know it’s a show and in no way indicates how any of the contestants can cook, I always seem drawn back to it. I’ve enjoyed watching you Kevin – you never get bollocked, so I think I know who the chef at Whistler is. :)

Thanks for your blog, it’s a good read.

I’ve been a Kevin Fan since about the third episode! It’s the calm and the cool that’s gonna put you in til the end. I know you already know the result, my bet (hope) that it comes down to you and Dave.

I’ve been in Hospitality for 20 years, worked with many chefs, and the truly great leaders stand out by not playing games, and keeping cool no matter what.

Best wishes, I’d love to see you or Dave take the cake!

I don’t think the pattern will work this season. Tenille is funny but she’s too loud during her solo moments. I believe Kevin will win though. I was sad to see Van go.. He was great to watch on HK..

I know Kevin can’t tell us, but I believe the most talented chef in this season’s group is KEVIN. Only one who seems to master both the challenges and the dinner service.

I wouldn’t get overly excited about the overcooked rice. Other winners from the past never made it through the entire season without catching some hell from Ramsey. If he’s yelling at you, it’s because he knows you can do better. Tenille should have sent that rice back before she took it to the pass. The ultimate winner of HK has to prove they won’t send lousy food out of the kitchen!

One thing that was “suspect” is that there was a week that Dave was wearing a Hell’s Kitchen orange jumpsuit, and I thought ok, interesting outfit….but, then the next week their punishment for not winning a challenge was to go pick up trash on the side of the road, wearing orange jumpsuits…..which they seemed surprised to be getting. Proof of editing for our entertainment…?
