Well Dave wins; yes everyone knows this by now. I would like to congratulate Dave and wish him success in his future endeavors.
This show taught me a lot! I must say I do look at “reality TV” a bit differently now. I thought I knew the show and what it was about but in “Hell’s Kitchen” you never know. Yes I get it. It is TV and entertainment after all.
I thought for a very long time about what to post. Such as things that happened, things you the viewer did not see, and decided just let it go. As I said before everything happens for a reason so no use trying to mess with fate.
I really would have liked an explanation or anything after the show. What I got was nothing, oh well life will go on!!
I have a great job at the country club and a life that many chefs would enjoy so in the end I am going to do just fine. I have come to like Connecticut quite a bit and I think there is a few new adventures soon to come!!!
If you are ever in Connecticut, come on over and say hi to me and Van. Yes I found one hell of a good chef while on that show; Van is now part of the team at the Country Club. Now the real fun begins!!
Happy Cooking to all, Chef Kevin

I would just like to say congrats on how far you got. From the beginning, it was clear you both were above the rest. Neither of you were ever on the chopping block. I wish you the best of luck. It sucks to lose, and I hope that this part doesn’t get read the wrong way, but at least it wasn’t to anyone else.
Great job! I know it may not mean much, but you are also a winner in my book.
Thanks Jay, I am happy with how my team turned it around in the end. As for Ramsay well I now know why his businesses were in the news. His decision making is a bit off, lol. Keep checking in I will start doing all kinds of bloging, thanks again Chef Kevin
I think that you will do well right here in Ct. Your son is happy at his school, just think he would have had to adjust all over again. You and Van will do just fine here, maybe the 2 of you will open up your own restuarant! Just don’t make it in Middletown, we have enough of them here. Anyways where else could you get a great neighborhood dog like Sunny???
I think you were certainly the strongest and most consistant chef on the show. I was completely shocked when Dave won. In my eyes, you were the winner and you and Van have teamed up to begin a new chapter in your careers. I think your blog was very tasteful, hats off to you! I had the pleasure of having your son at my door on Halloween and I wasn’t surprised to hear how proud he was of his dad! Take care and happy cooking
First and foremost congratulations on making it to the top two…..however in MY opinion…you WERE the winner!!! You showed alot more leadership capabilities than Dave….and were much more composed than he as well. Please know that you are always a winner in the eyes of the Miramichi!!! I think Gordon made the biggest mistake when he chose Dave, and unfortunately Whistler and Araxi are going to miss out on being able to enjoy you, your cooking and your family! On the other hand, staying in CT does mean you will be closer in miles to be able to visit your in-laws and for Mary and John to enjoy seeing their Grandson grow up!
I was sure rooting you on the whole show! You have such great talent and i would love to come and visit you and Van and have you cook for me!! That would just make my day! Ha, but i’m glad to hear your keeping your head up and moving on, i’m sure you have a great future upon you! Good luck to you!!
Kevin,
A class act you are friend. It’s always interesting to see who wins. Audience polls generally determine how a show will go, and you were one of the faves. I think that people were rooting for Dave because he was such a long shot with the arm and all.
Van…keep that man away from caffiene
He’s really something. You two are some amazing talent and it was fun to watch. Sorry you did not win, but in our hearts and minds you are a winner and always will be.
Michael
Thank you Michael!! I am very happy with how my team came back and that is what matters. If you are faced with a difficult situation and you over come it, then that is what makes a leader. At least that makes sense to me. Starting out strong and finishing weak and your team in disaray, that is not a good leader. Just my thoughts.
Kevin,
As the others have said you did a Great Job on HK! I did have a question for you, out of all the time you spent at HK and all the cooking and Chefs yelling and screaming how much of what the people see on TV is all hype? There seems to be a lot of dog and pony BS just to wind up the fans and hype the ratings. I cannot imagine how much experiance you and the others received from having spent time with Chef Ramsey but I guess the question is How much actual time do you get to cook and learn with Ramsey compared to what we see? Good luck to you in the future and a great add to your team was Van…as far as I can tell the two of you in any kitchen would greatly benefit any establishment!
I’m glad you and Van are working together, you made an excellent team. Still sad about the ending, but hopefully its still a new beginning to you. If you opened a restaurant and would definitely eat there.
Hi Kevin , just read your thoughts on th finale. Well it was real good the way you wrote, it was honest , itwas real, and it was you ,the Kevin we know saying it . we are proud of you for sticking it out that long with Chef Ramsay. From talking to you when you were home, you certainly went through alot more tan the TV actually shows. Can,t wait to hear more stories. You are a wonderful Chef and a wonderful person and we know you are ready for any challenge that life puts before you. ( even muddin in Canada) haha

We were privileged to be there at Araxi’s in Whistler B.C. for the Finale. Met you in the elevator at the Fairmont Hotel. Thank you to you and the final four for your patience with Photos. We were ceratin that you were the winner. This is one of those life defining moments for you and we are certain you will do well in your endevors. If we ever make it to Farmington, Connecticut, we will check out your restaurant
Can forward the group Photos if you wish.
Regards
Peter and Jennifer
Kevin,
I was all set to come out to Araxi to see you and have some good food. Just a thousand miles away. I was stunned with GR’s choice. You have such good manners and treated people well. You had a much better palate. I don’t think we get very far in this world with yelling and belittling people, which probably makes you wonder why I was watching the show. Me too! I’ll take a trip to Connecticut sometime for sure. So glad you and Van became friends, that’s an outcome that would make the whole experience worth it. Friends are hard to come by. Anyway, well done. I thought you were way more talented and respectful than everyone else. Keep it up. Paul.
Hey Paul, thanks!! I really do not know who makes the call but it did not go my way. I feel that Dave needed it more so maybe thats why. I had to much already vested in Connecticut so why would they up root a family for a job that was less than what I am already doing. I really like were I am at, and as you said “friends are hard to come by” and I did make a very good one in Van. So I did win in the end. I have a great job a great family and made a friend in Van.
Happy Cooking and just call and we will give you a great meal at the club!!
